Founder pitching to 15 to 25 angel investors and family offices at a private Investor Dinner in Austin, Texas.

Meet investors who write checks at your stage.

Pre-vetted angels and family offices. Thesis-matched. Weekly in San Francisco and Austin.

What stage are you raising?

We host rooms for three moments in the early-stage arc. Pick the one that matches the round on your deck.

Pre-seed

First check, friends and angels.

Typically $250K to $1M on a SAFE. The investors in the room normally write $25K to $250K checks. Common at this stage: angels, family office check writers exploring early-stage exposure.

Round size $250K to $1M
Seed

Lead-led or party round.

Typically $1M to $4M priced round, or on a SAFE. Veteran operators or real estate entrepreneurs often seek larger rounds. Family offices and angels in the room tend to write $50K to $500K checks. Some can lead a round. Most join a syndicate.

Round size $1M to $4M
Bridge

Extend the runway. Earn the round.

Typically $500K to $2M extension. Same investor profile as the seed room. Family offices and operator-angels follow on with growth capital while you compound metrics.

Round size $500K to $2M

How matchmaking works.

Three steps. Investor-side homework happens before you ever walk through the door.

Step 1

Vet.

You apply with company, stage, raise size, and deck. We screen for fit. Founders who match the room get an invitation. Founders who don't, we tell you why.

Step 2

Match.

We build the room around you. 15 to 25 investors whose thesis, stage, and check size fit what you are raising. Each investor sees your deck and opts in before the invitation goes out.

Step 3

Host.

One evening in a private home in San Francisco or Austin. Facilitator-led fireside chat, focused Q&A, dinner. Matched investors who couldn't attend but expressed interest are connected via email intro.

We host weekly in San Francisco and Austin because that is where most active angels and family offices in our network live. Founders fly in from anywhere.

Questions founders ask.

How much can I raise at one dinner?

It varies widely based on industry, stage, traction, track record and fireside chat/Q&A performance. Founders normally set a minimum check size of $100K. They commonly report capturing $500K to $1.5M from a single dinner. The highest amount reported from one event was over $6M.

What stage is this for?

Pre-seed through bridge before Series A. If you are at Series B or later, this is not the right room. We may know a VC or family-office network that fits a later stage.

Do I need to be based in San Francisco or Austin?

No. Most founders we host fly in for the dinner. The investors are typically local. The founder does not have to be.

How is this different from AngelList?

AngelList is a platform with passive syndicate dynamics. We curate one specific room of investors for one specific founder, then put you in that room for an evening. You meet 15 to 25 investors live, on the same night, in person.

What if my round is not lead-friendly?

Rounds we host vary widely across stage and industry. Family offices and angels in our network are typically comfortable writing $25K to $500K checks with or without leading.

Do founders pay a fee?

Yes. Investor Dinners are $15,000 per dinner. See astronomic.com/investor-dinners for the full breakdown. Founder Dinners (the free program) are different. Visit founderdinners.com to sign up for that program.

What does the evening actually look like?

Private home in San Francisco or Austin. Private chef. 15 to 25 accredited investors. One founder pitching live. Three to four hours, with a facilitator-led founder fireside chat, focused investor Q&A, and dinner with open conversation. See details on astronomic.com/investor-dinners.
